Souptacular and your Health

The current research in health and fitness urges people to go easy on themselves.

“I found in my research that the biggest reason people aren’t more self-compassionate is that they are afraid they’ll become self-indulgent,” said Dr. Neff, an associate professor of human development at the University of Texas at Austin. “They believe self-criticism is what keeps them in line. Most people have gotten it wrong because our culture says being hard on yourself is the way to be.” (New York Times 28 Feb. 2011. Online.)

Souptacular provides a wonderful way to feel great about eating well.  Our soups are delicious, with proven all-natural flavour combinations.  They are also filling, so that a bowl of our soup will satisfy you for a long time between meals.  Importantly, Souptacular soups are designed so that even a large quantity of soup (2-3 cups) provides a relatively low calorie meal.  Try incorporating Souptacular in a health and fitness plan that helps you feel better – inside and out – and give yourself a pat on the back!

Healthy Food – No Kitchen!

One of the great features of Souptacular soups is: no fuss, no muss! Even if you don’t have a full kitchen at your disposal, you can have a healthy and hearty meal in only a few steps.  Don’t take our word for it!  One of our long-time customers, Susan Miller, had this to say:

autumn harvest soupWe recently moved from Canmore AB to a condo in downtown Toronto.  There was no kitchen as it was under renovation so I got out the crock-pot and we had your wonderful soup for a few nights.  It was a saver as we didn’t have to waste time and money going out to eat.

My favorite is still autumn harvest although I have tried most of them.

Thanks,
Susan Miller

We’re so glad our soups helped you through your move!  Here’s another tip for easy dinner prep without a full kitchen:

If you have a crock-pot and a Souptacular packet, you can pick up a couple of ready-made items from most grocery stores to enhance your soup, or change the flavor.  Here are some ideas:

  • 1 L organic no MSG broth (any flavor you like)
  • pre-cut bags of vegetables, such as onions, carrots, celery, turnips
  • small jar of salsa or tomatoes

Yes, you can have healthy, satisfying food without a kitchen!
