Firefighter Friendly Soup – recipe by Gerry, Edmonton, Alberta

Firefighter Gerry says:

I combine Souptacular’s Autumn Harvest and the Traditional Bean. Usually, when its my turn to cook, I have to prepare enough for 8-12 guys. Souptacular is great because it’s easy to make, and it makes a lot.

This recipe is enough for 12 guys.

  • 1 pouch Autumn Harvest
  • 1 pouch Traditional Bean

Cook according to pouches (slow cooker is what I used).  Towards the end of cooking time add…

  • 1 large jar of Hot Salsa
  • 2-3 diced potatoes
  • 2-3 diced carrots
  • 1 small onion (chop very small)
  • 1 package of garlic sausage or ham sausage (packs you buy at the grocery store) cut into chunks

Thanks for feeding us cheaply and making me look good!  Love it!
